Sround 40 Italy-based fund selector delegates gathered at the Aldrovandi Villa Borghese hotel in Rome to look at the investment trends and hottest topics for the fund selector community.

Speakers attended from nine different asset management groups including: UBS Asset Management (UBS AM), Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), RWC Partners, La Financière de l'Echiquier, Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management, Principal Global Investors, Carmignac, Sycomore Asset Management, and 1167 Capital.

The event also saw a panel discussion involving Filippo Stefanini, head Multimanager Investments & Unit Linked at Eurizon Capital SGR; Stefania Luzi, head of Economics and Finance area in Mefop (the company owned by Italy's Ministry of Economy and Finance); Roberto Violi, senior director of the Bank of Italy's Financial Markets and Payment Systems Department; and Orazio Di Miscia, head of asset allocation and portfolio management of liquid asset classes at Poste Vita.

Moderated by Sky Tg24's TV News Anchor Vittorio Eboli, the panel addressed topics including reguatory changes affecting the asset management industry, particularly affecting the institutional space, and the challenge of finding alternatives at a time of ultra low yields on risk-free assets.

Delegates were treated to a wine tasting session, while the CFA Society Italy acted as main educational partner to the event.
