Credit Suisse steps up its commitments to the Iberian market with four hires to its Portuguese branch and the appointment of a new market leader.
The Swiss group has appointed Miguel Seabra, currently head of Portugal Front Office, as market leader for the firm's unit in Portugal. He will be combining this new leading position with that of co-branch manager for the branch that he already had.
Seabra has over three decades' experience in the asset management industry and joined Credit Suisse Portugal in 2013, when the national branch opened. As head of the firm's Portuguese unit, he is succeeding José Maria Cazal-Ribeiro.
The firm has also made four hires for the branch. Carlos Santos has been appointed as head of Portugal Front Office at the firm, a role he will combine with that of co-branch manager. Prior to his appointment, Santos was responsible for the private wealth unit of Santander Portugal.
Francisco Guedes and Paulo Tapada join Credit Suisse Portuguese branch as relationship managers. While Guedes joins from from Bankinter where he was a senior relationship manager, Tapada comes from BNP Paribas Luxembourg, where he was wealth manager at the firm's key client group.
Tiago Saraiva, to the date investment adviser at the private banking business of Bankinter, joins the group as head of investment consultants.
