Italian bank IWBank PI expands financial advisory network

Italian online bank IWBank Private Investments (IWBank PI) continues strengthening its financial advisory network with the appointments of Raffaele Buonomo and Raimondo Porcu.

Raffaele Buonomo will be responsible for coordinating sales of the firm's advisory network, alongside Stefano Lenti, who is responsible for the firm's financial advisory and wealth managers areas.

Buonomo joins the firm from Deutsche Bank, where he has held various senior managing positions during his 25 years' tenure. His latest role at the German group was that of responsible for the retail division and small business at the Area Centro.

Raimondo Porcu, who will be led by Raffaele Buonomo, will support the development of the financial advisory network led by Paolo Isidoro.

Raimondo Porcustarted his career at the financial advisory industry at Fideuram at the late 90's. He later held different managing positions at leading asset management groups including Sanpaolo Invest and UniCredit Xelion, which later became Fineco Bank.

IWBank PI expanded its wealth management division with the appointment of Alfonsino Mei last month.

Mei joined the firm's wealth management unit led by Andrea Di Salle, to be responsible for the firm's institutional business. This unit is made up of 30 professionals offering bancassurance services as well as a portfolio of 4,500 funds from 40 different asset management groups. The team works closely with the corporate and investment banking units of UBI Banca on corporate advisory and M&A, private equity or trust.
