SUSI Partners appoints chief operating officer

Finma-regulated Swiss fund manager SUSI Partners has appointed Roman Binder as chief operating officer and member of the Management Committee, effective August 2019.
In his new role, Binder will head the legal & compliance, finance, risk management and operations & IT functions and join the Management Committee to oversee the company's continued strong growth alongside chief executive officer and founder Tobias Reichmuth, chief investment officer Marco van Daele and chief people officer Yves Frey.
Binder has extensive executive experience in the financial sector and gained operational insight and expertise in sustainable investments as chief operating officer, chief financial officer and chief risk officer for SAM Sustainable Asset Management Group.
He will join from UBS, where his responsibilities ranged from overseeing and delivering business change and firm-wide regulatory programs to acting as chief operating officer for the Swiss risk control unit. Prior to this, Binder headed global coverage and offering management at Credit Suisse's private banking division, where he also served as chief credit officer Asia Pacific & Middle East based in Singapore and as chief of staff for global credit management.He also spent seven years at McKinsey & Company's corporate finance & strategy practice.
