UBS GWM Italia is making a push into alternative investments with the launch of two private equity funds in Italy as public markets continue to shrink.
Multi Vintage Private Equity Fund 3, one of UBS GWM's two strategies available to investors in Italy, is a multi-manager fund that aims at providing investors diversification by investing globally in various private equity strategies: buyout, growth and special situations. The fund, managed by UBS with the advisory of Hamilton Lane, a firm that selects private markets' fund managers with $400m in assets under management.
The Fund aims at reaching an initial target of $250m. The minimum amount to invest in the fund is $150,000.
Stripe 58 - Blackstone Capital Partners VIII is the second alternative fund UBS GWM has brought to Italy. It is a private equity strategy that offers investors access to the capabilities of Blackstone Capital Partner, which is a global investment manager with over $470m in assets.
The Fund will focus on sophisticated private equity transactions, an area of expertise for Blackstone. The minimum amount to invest in the fund is $250,000.
