UK investment firm Jupiter Asset Management is expanding its sales team in Iberia (Spain and Portugal) with the appointment of Francisco Amorim as senior sales executive.
Amorim, who will be based in Madrid reporting to Jupiter AM's Iberia general director Gonzalo Azcoitia, joins the UK investment firm from the Portuguese asset management group Millennium BCP, where he worked as analyst and fund selector.
Before joining Millennium in 2016, Amorim worked at Lisbon-based Banco BIC Portuges and at Banco Espirito Santo, based in Luxembourg and Switzerland.
Gonzalo Azcoitia, Iberia general director at Jupiter AM, said: " We are glad to welcome on board someone with the experience and knowledge of Francisco in the Iberian market. He will help us to boost our growth in Iberia and to reinforce our relationships with Portuguese clients (…)"

Jupiter set up an office in Madrid in 2016 after having entered the Iberian market in October 2014. The firm's team in the region is led by Gonzalo Azcoitia and made up of Carlos Capela, sales director, and Francisco Amorim, senior sales executive.
Jupiter offers 22 sub-funds to investors in Spain and Portugal through its Luxembourg's Sicav Jupiter Global Fund. The firm had €52bn of assets under management globally as of the end of March 2019.
