US asset management firm Invesco has appointed two people to its US offshore sales team after completing its acquisition of OppenheimerFunds.
The firm has hired Iván del Río and Darlene Giz, both previously working for the business development unit of OppenheimerFunds, where they held the positions of vice president of international sales focusing on the firm's Ucits product range.
Del Río, to be based in Miami, has been named senior advisor consultant, while Giz, who will be based in New York, has been appointed to the role of regional advisor consultant.
They will both report to Rhett Baughan, who was recently named Invesco's head of US offshore distribution and has been leading the company's efforts in this market for the past three years.
Invesco's US offshore unit is now part of its EMEA retail distribution unit with Baughan reporting to Íñigo Escudero, head of distribution for Iberia and LatAM at Invesco.
Invesco's acquisition of OppenheimerFundswas completed on the 24 of May after being announced in October 2018.
