The Spanish subsidiary of Société Générale has appointed Pedro Coelho as head of ETFs sales of Lyxor Asset Management for Spain, Portugal and LatAm.
Coelho - succeeding Juan San Pío, who now works as sales director at Amundi ETF -, will be responsible for contributing to the development of Lyxor's ETFs business in those markets, focusing on institutional clients.
With around two decades of experience in the industry, Coelho joins Lyxor from UBS AM, where he was responsible for the sales of passive products and ETFs in Iberia and LatAm during the past three years.
Prior to that, he worked at NN Investment Partners, where he spent nearly a decade holding various positions. Some include wealth and asset management clients director for LatAm Onshore and Offshore, institutional clients director for Iberia, and head of the firm's business development in Portugal. He also worked at Skandia, where he developed its institutional business from Lisbon.
Lyxor Asset Management, which belongs to the French group Société Générale, is an asset manager with around €137bn of assets under management.
