Heravest & Anglo-Swiss Advisors announce partnership

Heravest, the Geneva based investment adviser, has agreed a partnership with Aubonne based consultancy Anglo-Swiss Advisors to share resources and knowledge to serve institutional clients.
Together, they will offer advice and solutions across asset allocation, portfolio construction and selection of investment vehicles, for those clients seeking to outsource these types of functions. Types of clients targeted include pension funds, family offices, independent wealth managers and different types of banks - however, both companies also will continue to offer services independently of each other.
The partners of both organisations are well known to each other from previos buy side roles at Swiss private banks Ferrier Lullin and Lombard Odier.
Key people from Heravest include:
- Jerome Baillaud, partner - CIO: has more than 15 years' experience in fixed income and FX fund management; he has worked for Amundi in the high yield and emerging market debt space, as a global fixed income strategist and fund manager for BNP Paribas and Lombard Odier IM, and Blue Lake Advisors before co-founding Hexavest in 2017.
- Philippe Schindler, CEO and board member: Has more than three decades of investment experience; started in 1984 at Arthur Andersen, then joined Ferrier Lullin a financial analyst, portfolio manager, head of AM an CIO; joined lombard Odier as head of the strategy team, then Lloyds Private Bank as CiO before funding Blue Lake Advisors. Co-founder of Hexavest in 2017.
- Philippe Rezzonico, partner - CIO: Has three decades of experience as a financial analyst on Swiss and European markets, fund manager and strategist; head of investment at Ferrier Lullin, European fund manager in IAM, member of the Investment Committee at Mirabaud, before joining Blue Lake Advisors. The partners and co-founders of Anglo-Swiss Advisors, as previously outlined by InvestmentEurope (https://www.investmenteurope.net/news/4000718/anglo-swiss-advisors-incisive-business-media-ink-deal-help-fund-managers-improve-presentations) include Jean-Marc Bianchi, partner, Laurent Auchlin, managing partner and Philip Goldsmith, managing partner.
Commenting on the partnership announcement, Philip Goldsmith said factors such as the previous joint working history and ability to service clients anywhere from Switzerland meant it made sense.
"It's up and running now. We've been working on it for months. It's not a merger. We still bring a few separate things ourselves, such as the manager selection work [at Anglo-Swiss Advisors] but this bit of the consulting work we are doing together."
The joint work will progress to serve clients across Europe, including the UK, depending on the pipeline of new business, he added.
