Iberian Summit Barcelona 2019: new batch of speakers revealed

A month before the celebration of the Iberian Summit Barcelona 2019, Investment Europe is pleased to announce some more of the speakers and sessions included at the event.
To be held on the 30 and 31 of May at the Sofia Hotel in Barcelona, the summit will be treating an audience of around 40 fund selectors from Spain, Portugal and Andorra to a wide range of topics and trends that are currently relevant for the industry.
The event will present a mixed format, with dedicated boardroom sessions, a keynote speaker, a panel discussion and some more group activities.
Traditional asset classes including fixed income and equities, alternative type asset classes, absolute return, emerging market themes/funds, and ESG, will be some of the areas discussed by asset management groups confirmed so far including WisdomTree, Artisan Partners, Eurizon Capital SGR, Mirabaud Asset Management, Polar Capital, Gesiuris Asset Management and BMO.
Keynote speaker will be Javier Santiso, CEO and founder of Mundi Ventures, while Inversis Gestión' senior analyst Alejandro Allona and Fernando Sánchez Santidrián, head of alts investments at Caixabank AM, will join the panel session to discuss on alternatives.
On day two, Madalena Teixeira, senior portfolio manager at Lisbon-based ASK WM, will raise the issue of gender parity in the sector, sharing an overview of the way it has evolved over the past 20 years. As the Iberia representative for the Association of Professional Fund Investors (APFI), she will outline how the association is working on diversity promotion while sharing her thoughts on ESG and how it could be better applied internally by fund professionals.
The Summit will count on both the CFA Society Spain and Portugal branches as educational partner which, through an ongoing series of events for investment practitioners, offers a range of educational opportunities while facilitates the open exchange of information and opinions among investment professionals.
