Generali Insurance Asset Management names new CEO

Generali Insurance Asset Management (GIAM) has appointed Francesco Martorana as chief executive officer succeeding Santo Borsellino who has been holding the role since June 2013.
Martorana will combine his appointment as CEO with his current role of head of investments, which he has held since October 2017.
He joined the Generali Group in November 2013 as the head of Group Asset Liability Management & Strategic Asset Allocation (ALM/SAA) for the general account assets. Prior to Generali, he held several management positions at Allianz Group, both in Italy and Germany.
Borsellino, who was the former CEO of GIAM, has been named chairman of the firm's management board. He has also been appointed head of investments & asset management corporate governance implementation & institutional relations, responsible for managing the relations with external institutions, associations and regulatory bodies, while assuring effective implementation of the governance set-up of the business unit Generali Investments, Asset & Wealth Management.
