Citi and Schroders have launched a digital tool, investIQ, on the Citi Wealth platform in selected markets across Asia, including Malaysia, Middle East and Europe.
The new tool has been developed by Schroders in association with behavioural scientists. It can be accessed by Citigold and Citigold Private Client customers, who have assets in the range of $100,000 and $10m.
By using it, the bank's customers can gain insight as to how their behaviour may impact their investment decisions. In doing so, the tool is said to classify users into four investment characters and measure them against nine behavioural traits, local Malaysian newspaper The Star Online reported.
Enabling investors to explore the impact of emotions in investment decision-making and providing them with strong educational content is crucial in helping them set proper investment goals"
Schroders CEO of Asia Pacific Lieven Debruyne was quoted as saying: "Enabling investors to explore the impact of emotions in investment decision-making and providing them with strong educational content is crucial in helping them set proper investment goals.
"We are pleased to partner with Citi to offer this digital tool to their clients in Asia and globally, as we believe this is an effective channel to improve their awareness, knowledge and behaviours necessary to make sound investment decisions."
The tool will be made available in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines in the first half of 2019. The bank plans a broader roll-out of InvestIQ in Asia in the second half of 2019.
In the first half of this year, InvestIQ will also be launched in the UAE, UK and Poland.
