Altair Finance Asset Management continues expanding its team with two appointments aimed at strengthening the firm's asset management division focusing on the management of the Altair European Opportunities Fund.
Juan Cánovas del Castillo and Alberto Sánchez, both with over two decades of experience in the industry, join the firm as equity analysts.
Cánovas del Castillo has worked within the Spanish small and mid-caps universe for the past 20 years, firstly at Cazenove, and latterly at Fidentiis, where he has worked since 2003. He previously worked as a credit analyst at NatWest Markets.
Alberto Sánchez, also with over 20 years' experience as an equity analyst, worked before at various firms including Santander Investment Bolsa (currently extinct) and Fidentiis, where he has served for the past 13 years covering both the energy and the small and mid-caps sectors in Spain.
The two appointments raise to six the number of people working for the firm's asset management unit, Altair said through a statement.
Altair Finance AM manages four investment funds, a pension plan, and a Luxembourg's Sicav.
