Columbia Threadneedle makes Germany push

Columbia Threadneedle Investments has expanded its presence in Germany with three new appointments.
Florian Preissler, Max Schulze and Hannah Pollach are joining the firm's Frankfurt office with immediate effect bringing the team to a total of 14 employees in Germany compared to nine at the beginning of 2018. The expansion of the team allows Columbia Threadneedle to stay close to its German clients, ensuring the firm's global expertise is complemented by an effective local presence and know-how.
Columbia Threadneedle continues to focus on the sparkassen (savings banks) clientele in Germany, which has been developing particularly dynamically. The firm's offering in global equities, multi-asset and credit continue to be in high demand in a low interest rate environment.
Florian Preissler joins the Frankfurt sales team as sales manager with a focus on sparkassen savings banks in Northern Germany. He brings with him extensive experience in this sector, which he has accumulated over eleven years in various positions in savings banks - most recently as a consultant in private banking and previously in the High Net Worth client team at Frankfurter Sparkasse.
Max Schulze joins as sales manager serving customers in the sparkassen savings bank sector in southern Germany. He comes from Oddo BHF in Frankfurt, where he had been responsible for product selection in Private Wealth Management since 2015.
Schulze and Preissler will work closely together with Jesco Schwarz, sales director at Columbia Threadneedle, to better serve sparkassen clients. Since Jesco Schwarz joined Columbia Threadneedle in July 2017, he has been focused on successfully consolidating relations with the 50 largest savings banks in Germany.
Hannah Pollach joined as sales executive and supports the German team across various customer segments. Prior to joining Columbia Threadneedle, she worked for three years as a sales associate at Lazard Asset Management in Frankfurt and Fidelity International in Kronberg.
Columbia Threadneedle Investments we will move to a new Frankfurt office on the top floor of Mainzer Landstraße 1 in the summer of 2019.
