Credit Suisse Asset Management has appointed Pieter Fyfer as a member of fixed income team, effective 1 April 2019.
Based in Zurich, in his new role as portfolio manager, Fyfer will play a key role in strengthening and expanding capacity in Credit Suisse Asset Management's corporate bond segment. These include, among others, investment strategies with a focus on relative value or special situations.
With more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry, Fyfer has extensive expertise of investment-grade, high yield markets and issuers and emerging market bonds.
Fyfer was most recently head of European Credit Sector Strategy: Financials (IG & HY) and IG Corporates for Credit Suisse Global Markets in London, where he began operations in 2007. In this role, he gained experience in the financial and non-financial sectors in the Investment Grade, High Yield and Distressed segments, both in the developed and emerging markets. He also led a team of credit analysts with responsibility for all sectors and focus Western European financial and corporate values. His team focused on managing the trading department and was also involved in the relevant risk management framework. Previously, Fyfer was senior credit analyst at M & G Investments in London.
