Banco Sabadell targets digital economy with new fund

The asset management division of Spain's Banco Sabadell has launched a global equities fund focusing on companies whose business model is based on the use of digital technology.
Sabadell Economía Digital is a fund of funds that will invest over 75% of its portfolio in equities globally, focusing on Western Europe, the US, Japan. Up to 25% of the fund's portfolio may be invested in emerging markets.
The Fund will focus on companies that have obtained at least 20% of their revenues from the use of digital technologies. "Business models of the new digital economy will benefit from a sustainable and greater growth trend," according to Sabadell.
The strategy is structured around five different share classes. The lowest entry investment is €200 and management fees will range from 0.7% to 1.5% depending on the share class.
