Legal & General Investment Management has appointed Claire Aley from Hermes Investment Management as head of product and investments business management.
In her new role, Aley will oversee the group's global product strategy, development and management functions and support LGIM's CIO, Anton Eser, in the business management of the investment teams. She will report to Rhodri Mason, chief of staff. Aley joins from Hermes IM, where she was head of product strategy and development, and was responsible for global product strategy.
Schroders has appointed former head of research and investment chief operating officer at Architas Anna O'Donoghue to the newly-created role of head of operations and governance for its UK intermediary business.
Reporting to head of the UK intermediary business Philip Middleton, O'Donoghue will be responsible for governance and operational management within the unit. During a ten-year stint at Architas O'Donoghue's most recent role saw her oversee the day-to-day operational aspects of the firm's investment team, with responsibility for investment and operational due diligence, product governance, and regulatory change initiatives.
Martin Currie has promoted former chief executive of Old Mutual Global Investors Julian Ide to CEO.
The promotion of Ide, who joined Martin Currie in May 2018 as head of distribution and business strategy, sees Willie Watt step down from his 18-year stint as the firm's CEO but retain his position as chairman. Prior to joining Martin Currie, Ide served as CEO of ETF business Source, which was acquired by Invesco in 2017. He has also held senior roles at several other firms, including Credit Suisse and ABN AMRO.
Aviva has appointed Maurice Tulloch as its chief executive officer, taking over from Sir Adrian Montague, who has been acting in an executive capacity.
Aviva's previous CEO Mark Wilson stepped down from the role last year to allow for the group's "next phase of development". During the transition, non-executive chairman Sir Adrian Montague assumed executive responsibilities and led a chairman's committee of the three executive directors Andy Briggs, Thomas Stoddard and Tulloch himself.
Ogier has appointed two directors to lead its business services teams in Marketing and IT. Kate Kirk has been promoted to global director of marketing and communications, while Andrew Gillyett has joined as group IT director.

Utmost Wealth Solutions has announced two senior appointments. Julian Melling has joined as global wealth specialist and Steve Sayer as technical sales manager.
Melling has experience with a number of international life companies and joins Utmost Wealth Solutions from Swiss Life. Sayer has over 20 years' experience in the international life assurance sector. During this time he has provided tax and trust technical services, specialising in non-domicile and IHT planning.
Julius Baer has appointed Raymond Li as new group head greater China. He is based in Hong Kong and will be responsible for growing and strengthening the bank's franchise in the greater China market. This includes China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
He was most recently market head for Hong Kong at Standard Chartered Private Bank since 2007. Prior to his function at Standard Chartered, he held senior wealth management roles at Barclays Private Bank and Lloyds Bank. He will report to David Shick, head private banking greater China at Julius Baer.
