Columbia Threadneedle Investments has announced that Michelle Scrimgeour, CEO EMEA, has resigned her position, with the FT suggesting that she will take up a role at Legal & General leading the UK insurance group's investment unit.
Scrimgeour joined Columbia Threadneedle from M&G in December 2016, where she had been chief risk officer.
Ted Truscott, CEO at Columbia Threadneedle said: "During her time at Columbia Threadneedle Michelle led our EMEA business through a period of change and challenge, as we responded to the evolving needs of our clients, regulatory changes and an uncertain political and economic backdrop. Her clarity and long-term focus have helped us strengthen our strategic vision for Columbia Threadneedle globally and within the EMEA region."
"We wish Michelle every success in the future and thank her for her contribution while at Columbia Threadneedle."
"Michelle will continue in her role and be with us for the next few months. She will continue to fulfil her regulatory responsibilities and work with me and our regional leadership team to ensure a smooth transition over the next few months as we determine our longer term plans. We have an excellent team in place and remain focused on delivering for our clients."
