Barcelona-based Summa Patrimonia names new investment director

Barcelona-based financial adviser Summa Patrimonia Eafi has promoted Edgar Mestre to investment director.
As the new investment director of Summa, Mestre will be responsible for leading the firm's investment department, selecting funds, assessing any type of investment and making asset allocation decisions for the company's investment portfolios.
Before his promotion, he was an investment portfolio analyst at the asset allocation team of Summa, focusing on equity fund selection. He joined this team in 2015, as a portfolio analyst. Prior to that, he worked at the Financial Markets division of Everis.
Mestre holds a degree in business administration and management and a MSc in Financial Markets from Barcelona School of Management (UPF). He also holds the European Financial Adviser certificate from the European Financial Planning Association (EFPA).
Summa Patrimonia, founded in 2005 to create and develop an independent consulting business for its clients, has around 150 clients (whose portfolios worth at least €1m) and some €400m of assets under administration as of February 2018. The company focuses on advising clients on financial assets such as mutual funds, stocks, fixed income and also alternative investments including capital risk, shares in unlisted companies, real estate, etc.
