Jorrit Arissen of Kempen Capital Management puts property in focus at Nordic Summit

Jorrit Arissen, senior portfolio manager at Kempen Capital Management, will outline the opportunities that data and technology driven approaches are making available in real estate investment trusts (Reits) and property securities when he presents at the upcoming Nordic Summit Stockholm 2019, hosted by InvestmentEurope for fund selector delegates from across the Nordic region on 12-13 March in the Swedish capital.

Arissen will present Kempen's approach that uses data on more than 200,000 properties globally, aggregating data from more than 50 global data vendors, to access real time assessments of locations, competitive positions and the quality and sustainability of properties. This data infrastructure has been developed in-house.

Before joining Kempen Capital Management in 2015, Arissen worked as senior portfolio manager Global Real Estate securities at asset managers such as APG and F&C Asset Management, and most recently at Dutch asset manager for pension funds PGGM. At F&C and PGGM he was ultimately responsible for listed propery investments in the US and European regions.

Arissen received his Masters in Economics from Tilburg University and his Masters in Real Estate Investment and Finance from Reading University in the UK. He is a member of the VBA Real Estate Committee and sits on various committees actively promoting Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) standards in real estate (EPRA sBPR, Investor Advisory Committee).
