Sabadell hires CTO in digital push

Spanish bank Banco Sabadell has appointed Enrique Solbes as chief technology officer in a bid to strengthen the bank's technology strategy.
Solbes will be responsible for leading the technology strategy as well as the areas of Architecture and Infrastructure Management.
With a long international experience in transforming and leading technology businesses, and on helping clients of various industries to their digital transformation process, Solbes worked at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. There he was vice president & general manager HPE Enterprise Services EMEA North Region alongside other roles. Before, he worked at Accenture.
Enrique Solbes said: "The financial sector is an industry in full transformation in which technology is a key element to make the business grow, improve efficiency, and enable new business models.
"I will work to implement new mechanisms that help Sabadell business to grow further."
