InvestmentEurope is delighted to announce the launch of the Women In Investment Awards Italy, set to take place on the 2 of October 2019 in Milan.
This new event aims at honouring the inspiring achievements of women across all parts of the investment industry in Italy, but also seeks to help reshaping the discussion on how to improve diversity.
From aspects related to ESG commitments - in which a gender pay gap counts as a negative score - to the need to attract new and younger talent with flexible working arrangements, there is still a broad consensus that more needs to be done to recognise the work of women in the industry.
InvestmentEurope believes that these Awards have a valuable part to play in drawing attention to the issue of diversity and demonstrating that real change is starting to happen.
The awards are open to firms operating in Italy's investment industry, and nominees can be involved in roles including - but not limited - to fund and wealth management, investment research, financial advisory, investment analysis, marketing, sales, human resources, compliance, middle, front or back once within the investment sector.
Entries will officially open on International Women's Day on the 8 of March 2019, and we hope you will take this opportunity to either nominate yourself or a valued colleague for these Awards.
Please be aware that one person can be nominated only in a maximum of three categories and that women currently on maternity leave can be voted too.
Twelve are the categories included, ranging from Investment Analyst of the Year to Unsung Hero Award or Mentor of the Year.
Nominations can be entered online, both in Italian and in English, and those interested in participating can complete a remind me form to make sure they are reminded when nominations open.
Although ten people have been confirmed to the Awards' judging panel so far, it is still looking for more judges, so if you wish to take part, please contact InvestmentEurope's head of Fund Selector Relationships Vanessa Orlarey at [email protected].
Finalists and winners will be revealed later this year.
