Mirabaud Securities bolsters team in Spain with new analyst

The securities division of Mirabaud in Spain has expanded its analysis team with the appointment of José Ramón Ocina as senior equity analyst.
Ocina, who will be responsible for the sectors of telecommunications, infrastructure and construction, is joining the firm's division equity analysis team led by Ignacio Méndez based in Madrid.
With over 25 years' professional experience, Ocina joins Mirabaud from Alantra/N+1 Equities, where he was responsible for the sectors of construction, management of infrastructures, telecommunications, healthcare and IT services. Prior to that, he worked at Crédit Agricole Cheuvreux for 11 years, where he covered the utilities sector in Spain, some stocks like Repsol, alongside the same industries he was analysing during his tenure in Alantra.
Ocina joined the financial industry in 1998 after some years working for the automotive and rail sectors. He held his first position as a financial analyst at AB Asesores/Morgan Stanley Dean Witter.
Javier Colás Gómez de Barreda, general director of Mirabaud Securities Limited in Spain, said: "We are delighted to Ocina's appointment to the team. His wide experience will enable us to expand and consolidate our expertise and skills in Spain."
