At the meeting on 23 January 2019, BEKB Board of Directors proposed Annelis Lüscher Hämmerli as a new member of the Board of Directors.
Peter Siegenthaler will not be re-elected due to the reaching the age limit. Jürg Rebsamen will also be not re-elected to the board of management.
In addition, Board of Directors elected Marcel Oertle to executive board. He will take up his duties on 1 March 2019 and will take over the management of the Department of Private and Corporate Clients, currently headed by Armin Brun, who is known to be the new chairman of the BEKB Executive Board as of 1 July 2019.
Annelis Lüscher Hämmerli is a proven financial expert with a broad expertise in risk management. Since 2004, she has held various management positions at Swiss Life in Zurich, since 2016 as chief risk officer.
Marcel Oertle has more than 30 years of professional experience in the financial industry. He worked in various management positions, most of which at BEKB. In the meantime, he worked for a consulting firm in Zurich. On March 1, 2008, he was given the management of the BEKB region Biel-Seeland. Since the beginning of 2016, he has been managing the North market area with its headquarters in Biel (Biel, Lyss, Bernese Jura and Solothurn regions).
