Spanish boutique Bestinver has registered a new version of its LatAm equity fund already available in Luxembourg at the Spanish regulator CNMV in a bid to satisfy investors' appetite. Bestinver Latam is an equity fund that replicates the firm's Luxembourgish sicav that invests over 75% of its portfolio in companies based at various countries of Latin America, particularly in Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia and Peru.
The launch had been announced at the firm's annual conference last year but has not taken place until now following an increasing demand from investors.
The Fund, born in July 2017, has accumulated an annual return of 6.3% according to the UK daily Financial Times. Managed by Ignacio Arnau with the assistance of Fernando Maura as analyst, the fund's portfolio will include from 35 to 45 stocks.
With a management fee of 1.75% and a minimum entry requirement of €6,000, Bestinver Latam is the only fund that invests specifically in LatAm companies belonging to a Spanish value investing manager.
