Specialist fixed income manager BlueBay Asset Management has appointed Maria Bentley as an independent Non-Executive Board Member and Chair of the Remuneration Committee for the firm.
Following Board and regulatory approval Bentley will be taking over from Alan Gibbins, who retires after 11 years on the BlueBay Asset Management Board and subsequently on the BlueBay Asset Management LLP Board.
Bentley also holds different non-executive positions at various companies including Picton Property Income Limited Board, Nomura Europe Holdings plc and Nomura International plc, as well as City Women Network.
Jim Pettigrew, chairman of BlueBay Asset Management LLP Board, said: "Maria is a highly respected industry professional, with extensive board experience. I look forward to her perspective and contribution to the Board and the Remuneration Committee."
Pettigrew also thanked Alan for his support and invaluable contribution to the Board during his tenure.
