Santander AM appoints heads of European and LatAm hubs

Santander Asset Management has created two different hubs and made some changes to their management boards in a bid to strengthen coordination efforts as well as relationships with banks and local clients.
The European team will be led by Lázaro de Lázaro while the one in Latin America by Luis García, the firm has confirmed to InvestmentEurope. De Lázaro was previously responsible for the Spanish asset management division of Santander, a position now taken by Miguel Ángel Sánchez Lozano, to the date responsible for Structured Products of Santander Spain.
The Group's global CIO Gonzalo Milans del Bosch is leaving the firm for personal reasons. His position will be temporarily replaced by Jacobo Ortega Vich and Eduardo Castro. Ortega, currently Santander Asset Management Spain CIO, will take on Europe's business responsibilities temporarily while Castro, now the CIO of Santander AM in Brazil, will be responsible for the business activities in LatAm.
