Credit Suisse nabs ex-iShares veteran as head of asset management in Italy

Credit Suisse has appointed Emanuele Bellingeri as Italy head of asset management in a move aimed at strengthening the firm's business in the country.

Bellingeri, who will officially start at his new position on the 7 of January based in Milan, will be responsible for leading a team of 30 members focused mainly in the creation of tailor made solutions on retail distribution, wholesale and pension funds.

With around 20 years' experience, Bellingeri joins Credit Suisse from BlackRock ETF's operator iShares where he worked within the firm's Italian business. Prior to that, he worked at various companies including Barclays Global Investors, Invesco AM, Merrill Lynch Investment Managers and Crédit Agricole AM, where he started his career.

Stefano Vecchi , managing director of Credit Suisse Italy, said: "The appointment of Emanuele Bellingeri confirms our commitment and ability to attract talents to the firm as well as our ambition to continue expanding the business in Italy."
