Natixis has published its 2015 global survey of individual investors. A total of 7,000 investors from 17 countries have been surveyed.
Among the trends reported by the study, a large share of investors are optimistic and see equity markets as 2015 top performers.
The number of investors being conflicted between pursuing returns and protecting capital has increased (73% in 2015, compared to 67% in 2013).
Investors may be lacking basic tools that could help them resolve these conflicted feelings. Among those surveyed, 57% said they have no financial goals, 67% have no financial plans and 77% rely on gut instincts to make investment decisions.
The number one priority remains retirement for investors worldwide.
