Lars Franstedt, CIO and portfolio manager at Madrague, noted that this is the first fund launched jointly with Nordea AM, and added that he saw the new stratetgy as a “good complement to the existing offering on the Nordea platform”.

Madrague was founded in 2012 and counts five investment team members, including the founding partners. The team’s focus is on risk management and using alternatives to protect the portfolio against market corrections.

Nils Bolmstrand, CEO of Nordea Asset Management, added: “after the announcement of our partnership with Madrague earlier this year, we are very excited to have our first product. The realisation of this partnership, in conjunction with the launch of this fund, has helped strengthen our alternatives offering.”
