With over 13 years’ asset management industry experience, Colavito joins Merian Global Investors from Allfunds Bank, where since 2014 he was in charge of the business distribution in Italy, serving a wide range of clients including insurance companies, banks, asset managers etc.

Prior to that, he worked at Société Générale Securities Service, where he worked during six years, first as assistant product manager and most recently as sales manager. He started his career in 2005, working as an economic research analyst at Pioneer SGR.

Cristiano Busnardo, Merian Global Investors’ Italy country head, said: “Merian Global Investors has built a solid clients base in Italy in just one year, opening an Italian branch too. Now, we aim at strengthening our presence in the country as well as diversifying our clientele.

Michele brings wide experience in the asset management industry, which will be quite beneficial for our business growth plans in the country. We look forward to start working with him in the expansion of Merian in Italy.”
