Candriam has appointed Derek Brander as head of UK Distribution, based in London. Brander was previously UK wholesale director at Candriam.
Elizabeth Para and Adrian Sharpe, who both report to Derek Brander, will lead the UK institutional and wholesale drive respectively.
Brander has almost 20 years of experience in the asset management business. Prior to joining Candriam in 2016, he was director of UK Wholesale at Natixis and has also worked as a sales manager at GLG Partners, SGAM, AEGON and First State Investments.
For Candriam, London has become an increasingly important and growing centre, with important portfolio management functions including the EM debt team, consultant relations and an increased headcount of more than 20 employees.
