€500m out of Finnish funds in October

Data from Investment Research Finland point to net redemptions of €535m from locally domiciled funds through the month of October, mainly from long term bond funds.

Together with equity market movements, the total industry assets decreased to €111.5bn.

Long term bond funds saw net outflows of €680m, with asset allocation funds down €103m and alternative funds down €7m on this basis.

However, despite market turbulence, equity funds saw net inflows of €223m, and short term bond funds €31m, the data suggest.

By market share, the biggest provider in the local market remained Nordea (37.8%), followed by OP (21%) and Danske Invest (9.1%).

Equity funds have a combined 36.9% share of the market, with bond funds on 26.3%, and asset allocation funds on 19.9%.
