Abante continues expanding financial advisory network

Spain’s Abante has bolstered its financial advisory team with the appointments of Ramón Fernández and José Brujó to the Madrid team, raising to 31 the number of hires of this kind the firm has made over the past year.
Fernández, with over 20 years’ experience, joins Abante from Madrid-based ACCI Capital SGIIC, where he has worked since 2017 as a portfolio manager for fixed income investments. Prior to that, he worked in London for seven years, first as a broker for fixed income products at Conduit Capital Markets, and later at Newedge Societe General responsible for the firm’s institutional clients in Iberia.
Fernández started his career in 1995 at Bank of America, and later worked for Crédit Agricole.
Brujó, with around two decades of financial experience too, began his professional career at Merril Lynch in Madrid, where he joined as a broker-dealer and came to be a senior vice chairman for the firm.
After that period at Merrill Lynch, Brujó worked as a private banker at Credit Suisse and, from 2006 to 2014, he contributed to the launch of Brightgate Capital SGIIC, holding the role of chairman and CEO. Before joining Abante, he advised clients from Pictet and Credit Suisse, while he helped to find and attract private investors for Venture Capital K Fund.
