Eckhard Fiene, partner of the independent private bank M.M.Warburg & CO, who is responsible for the capital market, will leave the circle of partners on 31 October 2018. He will remain closely associated with the bank as a consultant.
Patrick Tessmann will be appointed partner with effect from 1 December 2018. Until August 2018 he was CEO of the Oldenburgische Landesbank. Previously, Tessmann was active in leading positions at major commercial banks nationwide, as a personally liable partner at Bankhaus Reuschel & Co. and as a member of the executive board of Landesbank Berlin.
Patrick Tessmann will be a part of the partner circle with Joachim Olearius and Peter Rentrop-Schmid. Olearius is spokesman for the partners and is responsible for the areas of back office, among other things. Rentrop-Schmid heads the Private Banking and Corporate Banking divisions.
The supervision of institutional clients will in future be the responsibility of Tessmann, who, with his expertise and his contacts gained over decades, will in particular advance the bank’s SME business.
M.M. Warburg is strengthening its investment banking business and creating the new Markets and Institutional Banking division, which includes sales and trading, among other things. Henry Werkmeister has been appointed to look after the management. He moves from HSBC Dusseldorf to Alster. He brings a wealth of experience in investment banking and will continue to expand business at M.M.Warburg from November 2018.
The general representative Thomas Schult, who was previously responsible for sales and trading, retires after almost three decades of successful work for the bank at the turn of the year.
