Hamburg Summit kicks off

Over 50 fund selector delegates from across Europe have gathered to take part in the InvestmentEurope Pan-European Summit Hamburg 2018, running 17-19 October in the northern German city.

Taking place at the Hotel Sofitel Hamburg, the Summit brings together 10 asset management groups with key gatekeepers to present and discuss their views on asset classes and the different strategies that can be applied via active management to deliver better outcomes for investors.

Groups attending this year’s Summit include: Candriam, Tokio Marine AM, Invesco, Danske Invest, Janus Henderson, Columbia Threadneedle, Eurizon, Guinness AM, Odey AM, Stewart Investors (First State).

The keynote on 18 October is Iain Duncan-Smith MP, former secretary of State for DWP.

This year also sees the addition of plenary sessions by Fondsfrauen, who would speak on Gender diversity: Why asset managers and investors should care equally; and SharingAlpha will outline how fund selectors can create a measurable rating of their skills while also rating funds.

Delegates are also treated to ample networking opportunities through coffee breaks, lunches and dinners, including a visit to the Kulturkirche Altona in Hamburg.

Further postings online will include galleries and a full report of the event will be included in the November issue of the InvestmentEurope magazine.
