Italys’ UniCredit has named Guido Filippa as head of Markets Italy for the firm’s corporate and investment banking division.
Milan-based, Filippa will be suceeding Francesco Salvatori, who has moved to the role of head of CIB Americas. UniCredit’s new appointment will report directly to head of global markets Guy Laffineur and to Alfredo Maria de Falco, head of CIB Italy.
Filippa joins UniCredit from Tages Capital, where he worked as partner – head of group business development for nearly two years based in London. Prior to that, he held the role of managing director – head of Securities Sales Italy at Goldman Sachs for more than six years. Formerly, he worked as managing director – head Markets Sales Italy for Credit Suisse during 12 years. He also worked at Barclays where, from the firm’s unit in Frankfurt, he was mainly responsible for institutional clients during around two years.
