Eaton Vance appoints institutional portfolio manager

Eaton Vance Management has appointed Dónal Kinsella to the newly created role of institutional portfolio manager for Eaton Vance corporate credit strategies.
Based in London, Kinsella reports to Christopher Remington, director of Income Product & Portfolio Strategy.
Kinsella’s appointment aims to bolster the advancement of Eaton Vance’s credit capabilities with institutional investors across Europe, Asia and Australia, with a particular emphasis on Eaton Vance’s global high yield and leveraged loan strategies as well as its growing multi-asset credit capabilities.
He is responsible for market research and analysis, advancing the firm’s managed strategies through thoughtful investment communications and insights on the credit markets. He will be an extension of Eaton Vance’s London-based sub-investment grade credit team and will be partnering closely with Eaton Vance’s international distribution businesses and their clients.
Kinsella began his career in the investment industry in 2010. He joins Eaton Vance from Janus Henderson Investors, where he was a client portfolio manager responsible for multi-sector, structured and corporate credit strategies for pension schemes and insurance companies across Europe. He also served as a trustee director, responsible for all decision making on Janus Henderson’s own DB and DC pension schemes.
Previously, he was affiliated with Lane Clark & Peacock and Mercer Investments in the investment consultancy industry researching fund managers and advising institutional investors on a wide range of investment related topics.
