GSAM launches EM equity ESG portfolio

Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) has expanded its product offering with the launch of Goldman Sachs Emerging Markets Equity ESG portfolio.
The fund will enable investors to invest in emerging market companies that GSAM believes have particular environmental, social and governance (ESG) strengths.
The long-only equity portfolio is managed by GSAM’s emerging market equity team. The 30-strong team has an average of 15 years of investment experience and is also responsible for the current $3.5bn GS Emerging Markets Equity portfolio, which has ranked top decile in its peer group for five years.
The re-launched portfolio integrates ESG criteria as part of the bottom-up fundamental analysis.
The Goldman Sachs Emerging Markets Equity ESG Portfolio is a new sub-fund of the Ucits-eligible Luxembourg-based Goldman Sachs Funds Sicav. The portfolio is available to both institutional clients and retail investors and is approved for distribution in various European countries.
