Close Brothers AM makes another hire for West End London office

Close Brothers Asset Management (CBAM) has appointed Hugh Adlington as managing director in a move to expand the firm’s investment management service at its West End office.
Adlington joins from Rathbones where he was an investment director. With over 25 years’ experience in managing the investments of private clients, family offices and charities, he formerly worked at Fleming Private Asset Management.
Adlington’s appointment, following that of Oliver Harvey in September 2018 and Tim Eliot-Cohen last year, will bolster the expansion of CBAM’s recently launched office in the West End of London.
Martin Andrew, Chief Executive of Close Brothers Asset Management, said: “The quality of our proposition for clients, the launch of our West End office, and our broader growth ambitions and culture have enabled us to attract professionals as talented as Adlington. He brings with him tremendous experience and expertise in managing private clients’ investments, and his appointment will help to continue the successful development of our Bespoke investment service.”
