Candriam appoints senior client relationship manager Netherlands
Asset manager Candriam has appointed Ruud Fransen as senior client relationship manager for the Dutch team.
He will be responsible for the relationship management of existing distribution customers as well as business development in wholesale and private banking. With his appointment, Candriam will further expand the focus on SRI (Socially Responsible Investment) strategies in the Dutch investment market.
Prior to joining Candriam, Fransen worked for 11 years as senior business development manager at NN Investment Partners in The Hague. Before that he worked as a senior investment advisor at ING Bank. He started his career with AFM (Authority for the Financial Markets).
Candriam has been a forerunner in the field of sustainable investment since 1996. Over the years it has built up one of the largest specialized SRI teams in Europe, as well as the most comprehensive range of SRI strategies in Europe. This has led to the integration of ESG criteria throughout the investment process of mainstream products. SRI today represents no less than 30% of the total assets under management €113bn.
