Zürcher Kantonalbank will close its seven switch locations in the next two years. In doing so, the bank is responding to the needs of customers, who increasingly demand time- and location-independent services and are less and less frequented by the counters.

Zürcher Kantonalbank has decided to further adjust its branch network in light of rapidly changing customer needs and to close seven switch locations by mid-2020.

The classic counter business continues to lose importance. Over 90% of customers today withdraw their cash from ATMs, and cashless payments are also becoming increasingly important. At the same time, the use of digital channels such as eBanking and eBanking Mobile is growing rapidly.

Over the next two years, the counter services of the Zürcher Kantonalbank will close down in Embrach, Erlenbach, Marthalen, Bonstetten and Hausen, Langnau and Albisrieden.

All affected employees receive internal job offers from the bank. The data for the respective closures will be communicated to the customers in a timely manner.
