Italy’s Banca Ifigest has opened a new branch in Genova – north-west of Italy – which will be managed by five private bankers.
Banca Ifigest is an independent private bank providing portfolio management services for private and institutional clients.
The new team in Genova will be led by Massimo Losti and will consist of five private bankers with strong connection to the region.
The new opening takes the bank’s branches to a total of nine, including Florence, Prato, Santa Croce, Milan, Turin and Rome.
Originally based in Tuscany, Banca Ifigest has been strengthening its presence across Italy in the recent years with a particular focus on asset management services.
Gianni Bizzarri, chairman of the bank, said: “The new branch is part of a wider plan to strengthen our presence in the centre and north of Italy.
“Our flexible and small business model allows us to provide customers with a highly personalised and long-lasting relationship, which is typical of a family office.”
Bizzarri also stressed that such structure is ideal for those numerous Italian families who can no longer count neither on property profits nor on their jobs.
