Capital Group has announced the appointment of Henning Busch (pictured) as managing director institutional clients Germany and Austria and the opening of its Frankfurt office, in a bid to expand its presence in the German speaking market.
In this newly created position, Busch will play an important role in developing Capital Group’s institutional business in Germany and Austria. He will also provide leadership to the organisation’s client and business development activities in these two markets. His apointment follows the recent hire of Fabian Wallmeier as director in charge of the institutional business in Switzerland.
Busch joins Capital Group from Credit Suisse, where he was head of Asset Management for Germany and a member of the Board of Credit Suisse Deutschland AG. Prior to that, he held a leading position at Morgan Stanley Investment Management.
Stephen Gosztony, head of Institutional for Capital Group in Europe, says: “Capital Group has been serving German and Austrian clients since the early 90s – and will strengthen our commitment to the German and Austrian market now even further by opening our local office in Frankfurt and building a coverage team on the ground. This will enable us to tap into new opportunities and to get even closer to our existing clients.”
