Zurich-headquartered Fisch Asset Management has appointed Atish Suchak as senior credit analyst within its high yield team.
The firm looks at growing its corporate bond business, an ambition that was characterised last year by the arrival of Kyle Kloc as high yield senior portfolio manager.
Prior to joining Fisch, Suchak served at Barings Asset Management in London for three years as a director in its high yield team where he was responsible for credit analysis and asset allocation for credit operations.
Formerly, he spent several years as a credit analyst at Invesco Asset Management.
Commenting on the appointment, Philipp Good, CEO and head of Portfolio Management at Fisch Asset Management, said: “The high yield bond asset class is steadily gaining prominence in the industry, given that interest rates have been persistently low meaning bond investors have needed to look further afield for alternatives that offer attractive yields. At Fisch, we are seeing greater demand in our funds and mandates whose assets at present amount to around €960m in this segment.
“Therefore, we are delighted to welcome another top-calibre high yield specialist to further bolster the team’s expertise. Atish’s knowledge and experience will be very valuable to Fisch, particularly in this research-intensive asset class.
“We plan to further grow our activities and our capacity in the corporate bond segment, and are looking to make additional analyst hires within the team in the near future.”
Fisch AM had €9.11bn of assets under management as of end of September 2017.
