Italy's Banca Generali has appointed Paolo Vagnone as chairman at the bank.
Italy’s Banca Generali has appointed Paolo Vagnone as chairman at the bank.
Vagnone is currently managing director and country manager for Italy at Banca Generali.
He replaces Giorgio Girelli, who resigned in July.
The bank also appointed Raffaele Agrusti as a member of the board of directors, replacing Giovanni Perissinotto, former chief executive of Assicurazioni Generali who was ousted by top shareholders in June.
Banca Generali’s net profits nearly doubled at the end of the second quarter, reaching €67.3m at the end of June.
