Andbank Spain has appointed Andoni Unzueta as private banker for its San Sebastián office.
The appointment is part of the bank’s growth strategy in the Basque Country, which is one of its key positions since the bank established itself in Spain five years ago.
Unzueta (pictured) joins from Deutsche Bank, where he was director of private banking accounts for Spanish province Guipúzcoa located in the Basque Country. Tallying over 15 years’ experience in private banking, he also worked in Bankinter.
Enrique Elola, head of Andbank Guipúzcoa, said: “Unzueta’s appointment matches absolutely with our philosophy of poaching professionals who have a consolidated background in private banking.”
Andbank currently counts three offices in the Basque Country (San Sebastián, Bilbao and Vitoria) as well as a center of private banking agents in Bilbao. It works with six agents and three EAFIs in the region.
Andbank San Sebastián has 1,300 clients and manages more than €400m of assets.
