Paris based investment advisory firm Cedrus Partners has appointed Julien Sureau as head of Fund Research.
He will be responsible for bolstering the firm’s funds and asset managers research across the world.
Sureau joins from Unigestion where he spent eight years as a senior investment specialist in alternative strategies.
Prior to that, he held various roles at Allianz Alternative AM such as quantitative analyst and head of Marketing.
In addition, Sureau has been named director alongside co-directors Matthieu Broquere responsible for the corporate/family business division and Antoine Le Lann heading the institutional and non-profit organisations division.
Christel Bapt, chairman of Cedrus Partners, said Sureau’s appointment will contribute to strengthen the firm’s fund research processes, the development of its expertises on decorrelated asset classes and the globalisation of Cedrus’ due diligence operations.
Established in 2010, Cedrus Partners advised over €15bn in assets as of 30 June 2016, coming from more than 50 clients.
The firm recently grabbed market shares on the following segments : single family offices, foundations and large companies’ pension schemes.
