Dorothee Rainis, macro-analyst on behalf of the Investment Committee at ETHENEA Independent Investors, will be taking part in InvestmentEurope’s Fund Selector Summit in Milan on 13 November.
Rainis will be addressing what by many is termed the new frontier in monetary policy – in which central banks around the world are engaged in unprecedented action.
Crucially, Rainis argues that it is yet to be seen what consequences different economies will bear in a regime that is characterized by an abundance of liquidity.
Subsequently, there are questions over how asset managers can still extract positive returns in light of rising yields and subdued economic growth. Rainis will outline what the opportunities may be in this type of environment, and how to approach getting reasonable return without being exposed to unreasonable volatility.
Rainis has been a member of the Investment Committee of ETHENEA Independent Investors since 2012. Previously, she worked as a Special Situations analyst for VDM Capital and investment associate for Oryx Capital Advisors, in Lugano, Switzerland.
