Candriam appoints chief strategy officer
Candriam has appointed Elias Farhat (pictured) as chief strategy officer.
He will be responsible for managing external growth opportunities as well as other initiatives related to Candriam’s global strategy. He will also seat within the company’s decision-making committees.
Farhat began his career at Bain & Company in Paris and remained at Bain for 12 years advising companies in the United States, Europe and Latin America.
In 2002, he founded his own advisory firm, Velocity Advisors, to assist investors on their acquisitions, first in Dallas, then in New York.
He was also a partner at Capital E Advisors, an asset manager focused on thematic private equity investments.
Candriam, part of New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM), had €100.1bn of AUM as end of September 2016.
